עַ֠ד אֲשֶׁר־הֵסִ֨יר יְהוָ֤ה אֶת־יִשְׂרָאֵל֙ מֵעַ֣ל פָּנָ֔יו כַּאֲשֶׁ֣ר דִּבֶּ֔ר בְּיַ֖ד כָּל־עֲבָדָ֣יו הַנְּבִיאִ֑ים וַיִּ֨גֶל יִשְׂרָאֵ֜ל מֵעַ֤ל אַדְמָתוֹ֙ אַשּׁ֔וּרָה עַ֖ד הַיּ֥וֹם הַזֶּֽה׃ (פ)
finché l'Eterno rimosse Israele dalla sua vista, mentre parlava per mano di tutti i suoi servitori i profeti. Quindi Israele fu portato via dalla propria terra in Assiria, fino ad oggi.

And Yisroel went into exile. This is voweled with a “chirik,” which is an expression of “went in exile.” It is not an expression of “was exiled.”27See Rashi above, v. 6.
